With action picking up at the International 2022 (TI11) in Singapore, EMERGE Esports launched its new retail line, EMPOWER, and an exclusive collection of co-designed apparel.

The merchandise, including team jerseys, will be available at its first pop-up store at Funan, Basement 2, from 22 to 30 October 2022. The pop-up will also feature an experiential tour reliving the history and the highlights of the partner teams.

Partnerships include DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) teams, including TI debutants ranked top 8 in the DPC, BOOM Esports, TI3 champion Alliance, and gaming juggernaut Talon. A collaboration with ONWEAR will see two other top 8 teams in the DPC, 2022 ESL One Malaysia runner-up Team Aster, as well as the North American DOTA 2 giant, TSMFTX, join the party. Other partners include Secretlab and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform Atome, while other featured brands include Singapore-based IINVICTOR along with esports gaming tournament platform GEMS.

For now at least, products are available via pickup or direct sales at the pop-up. | Image: EMPOWER

EMPOWER hopes to address the inconvenience of buying the official esports teams’ merchandise by establishing a robust retail distribution channel. Purchases can be made online or physically at the pop-up, while pickups can be made at the pop-up, and in future, also through distribution partners Wanyoo Cyber Cafe, and Reality Rift Arena (Bugis+ outlet). Doorstep delivery services are currently in the works.

The pop-up will also host fan-based events such as meet-and-greets with Talon appearing at the store on Monday (24 Oct) from 1-3 PM while Jonathan “Loda” Berg and Xiinya from Alliance will be at the store on Wednesday (26 Oct) from 2-4 PM.
