Razer updated its Naga range with the new Razer Naga V2 Pro and Naga V2 HyperSpeed.
The new Naga V2 Pro boasts three interchangeable side plates, 19+1 remappable buttons, 22 programmable controls, the new Razer HyperScroll Pro Wheel, Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, and a range of charging and connectivity options.
It uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for low-latency and low-lag connections while adaptive frequency monitoring and switching facilitate a stable wireless connection. The Naga V2 can also connect via Bluetooth, or a Type C cable if you need to charge the battery while playing.
Razer touts a battery life of up to 150 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless or 300 hours on Bluetooth. The V2 Pro also supports wireless charging with the optional Razer Wireless Charging Puck and the Razer Mouse Dock Pro.
The Naga V2 Pro uses the latest tech in the form of the Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor and Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3. The sensor provides improved surface compatibility, including glass, and enables intelligent features like smart tracking, asymmetric cut-off, and Motion Sync. The Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 boasts a blistering 0.2ms actuation with no debounce delay and an improved 90 million click lifecycle, along with zero double-clicking.
It also sports the Razer HyperScroll Pro Wheel, which provide six modes of scroll wheel settings; Standard is for typical in-game selections, Distinct mode for definitive scrolling feel and Ultrafine for the highest level of control. Adaptive offers less resistance the faster the wheel is scrolled, while Free Scrolling gives you always-on accelerated scrolling.
Custom mode lets you make a host of adjustments to get the scroll feel and function tuned to your liking. This includes scroll tension, number of steps, force curve between steps, and a range of 8-96 steps for the wheel so you can personalise the tactile feedback, feel and action.
Also new is the Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed, which features 20 programmable controls, and Razer HyperScroll Technology. Unlike the Pro version, the V2 HyperSpeed is powered by a single AA battery, which is rated for 400 hours on Bluetooth and 250 hours on Razer HyperSpeed Wireless. Like the V2 Pro, it also uses the Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor. However, the V3 HyperSpeed uses the older Razer Mechanical Mouse Switch Gen-2.
The Razer Naga V2 Pro ($289) Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed ($159) are available now on razer.com.
