The rivalry between RSG SG and EVOS SG is over. Long live the new rivalry between RSG and Slate.
The Regular Season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore Season 4 (MPL SG S4) ended with a err, bang when the Season 3 champions finished top of the table after a showdown last weekend with Slate, a new team comprising primarily of ex-EVOS players and staff.
The two teams were unbeaten going into their penultimate match of the season, and RSG emerged victorious, winning 2-0 in a best of three. RSG would beat Stellark in the final game 2-1 to confirm their standing at the top of the league. The game dropped to Stellark was the only game RSG conceded all season, which is an astounding statistic.
With the positions and seedings decided, the eight teams move on to the double-elimination playoffs phase, which will be held at Our Tampines Hub from 7 – 9 October 2022 and will be open to the public. There, the coveted title of MPL SG S4 Champion will be decided.
Aside from winning the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize pool, the winner will also represent Singapore at the M4 World Championships happening in Jakarta, Indonesia, this 1-15 January 2023. The M4 is the most prestigious title on the MPL calendar where 16 of the world’s best MLBB teams compete for the title of World Champion and the bulk of the USD 800,000 prize money.
