The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is almost like the Zephyrus Duo 15 for content creators.
Nothing changes when it comes to the dimensions – the new ZenBook Pro Duo 15 (UX582) sports a 15.6″ primary display (4K OLED HDR NanoEdge) and a 14″ secondary ScreenPad Plus touchscreen. The main display is certified for VESA Display HDR True Black 500 and PANTONE validation, along with 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage. The secondary display now has improved 400-nit brightness as well.
The new ZenBook Pro Duo retains the distinctive ErgoLift hinge. Coupled with the new Active Aerodynamic System Plus (AAS PLus) cooling system and the tilting ScreenPad Plus, overall cooling airflow has increased by 36 per cent. The auto-tilt mechanism angles the secondary display by an extra 9.5 degrees, which makes it easier to view and interact with when you’re using the active stylus.
ASUS has also upgraded its software (ScreenXpert 2) to improve usability, such as the new Window Flick feature that lets you flick windows between displays.
Most notable is the introduction of a Control Panel to improve workflows. The new Control Panel currently works with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro and After Effects, with more compatible apps to be announced. The panels provide users with intuitive controls such as adjusting brush size, saturation and layer opacity through four controls (Dial, Button, Slider, and Scroll).
As you would expect from a cutting edge machine, the ZenBook Pro Duo has top-of-the-line hardware under the hood. A 10th gen Intel Core i9 (i9-10980HK) processor is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and supported with 32GB of RAM and 1TB (PCIe 3.0 x4) storage.
This creative workhorse also comes equipped with two ultrafast Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports that support a single 8K display or two 4K UHD displays. The ports also support power delivery. In addition, you also get a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port and an HDMI port, as well as the latest WiFi 6 support.
The ASUS ZenBook Duo 15 OLED (UX582LR-H2002T) retails from $4,998 at the ASUS Exclusive Store, ASUS Online Store and all authorised retailers. The new ZenBook release also coincides with the launch of the ASUS Creators Academy , which showcases tips and guides on photography, video editing, storytelling, and many others from the best content creators from Singapore.
