The ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 (UX535) is the world’s smallest 15.6-inch 4K UHD laptop, targeted at creatives who need a powerful yet ultraportable machine to work on the move.
The highlight of this laptop is no doubt its NanoEdge 4K UHD display, which has an 88 per cent screen-to-body ratio and meets sRGB colour gamut requirements 100 per cent for the vivid, immersive visuals that their work demands.
Matching the display is an ErgoLift hinge that automatically raises the rear of the laptop slightly when you open up the laptop, which tilts the keyboard to a comfortable typing angle. The chassis is also lifted in the same action and this improves cooling and the audio quality of the speakers. Despite these unique features, the laptop weighs just 1.8kg and measures only 17.8mm in thickness.
Under the hood is a 10th Generation Intel Core i7, 16 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti discrete GPU, which is up to twice as fast as the previous generation GTX 1050. The CPU may not be the latest and best, but this is a good combination of power for the money. You also get 512 GB (4x PCIe 3.0) SDD storage.
As a work-centric device, you get a decent set of ports, including a USB-C, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, a standard HDMI 2.0, an audio jack, and an SD card reader.
Other features include WiFi 6 connectivity with ASUS WiFi Master enhancements to improve signal throughput for maximum signal range, filter out wireless interference and automatically select the best WiFi source.
The ZenBook Pro 15 also features an IR camera for hands-free face login with Windows Hello. The onboard microphone is equipped with AI Noise-cancelling audio, which use machine learning to remove unwanted background noise. to and a high-capacity 96 Wh battery.
