The Mi TV P Series and Q1 will be the debut offerings for Xiaomi’s TV range here. But for 4K, Dolby Vision and an embedded microphone (for Google Assistant), you need to look at the 43″ and 55″ variants. The 55″ variant goes one step further with HDR10+ support.
The 75″ Q1 features a 4K, quantum dot panel encased a sleek premium-finished enclosure. Like the P Series, the panel also has a wide 178° viewing angle. Between this and the P Series, what you’re paying extra for, aside from the size, of course, is a 120 Hz panel that covers 100 per cent NTSC colour range, with 1.07 billion colour variations and 1,024 different colour shades. It also features dynamic local dimming with 192 zones to help it achieve a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.

In terms of standards, the Q1 supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Audio and DTS-HD to maximise your viewing experience. And with HDMI 2.1 ports and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), it’s not too bad for gaming as well. If you’re buying TV of this stature then you probably would already have your own audio systems, but it’s good to know that the Q1 comes with a 30W stereo system (two tweeters and four woofers) built-in. Prism+’s Q75 is far cheaper, but the TV isn’t as well specced. You may not always need the extra bling, but it’s good to have options.
