Bang & Olufsen (B&O) Beoplay HX is the latest update of its Beoplay line of headphones. The new generation flagship, which replaces the H9, features a whopping 35 hours of playtime with digital ANC turned on, and 40 hours without.
Also new are two custom 40mm neodymium drivers with bass ports and four dedicated microphones with advanced beamforming technology. Their new Digital Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation uses both feed-forward (mic on the outside) and feed-back (mic on the inside), which gives them more noise cancellation options. The Beoplay HX also makes connectivity simple with Bluetooth 5.1 support, along with certifications for Microsoft Swift Pair, Google Fast Pair and Made for iPhone (MFi).

As with all B&O products, comfort is something they do very well. The ear cushions are memory foam covered with soft lambskin, while the headband upper is made with smooth-grained cowhide for aesthetics and is paired with a knitted fabric lower for comfort. The revamped headband also has a centre-relief zone, which helps long-time wear.
To complete the look, the arm sliders are pearl blasted, anodised aluminium with some light brushing detail, while the ear cup housing is a diamond spin finished disc held in place by a plastic shell.
Priced at $799, the Beoplay is available in Black Anthracite, Sand, and Timber. B&O also offers a global three-year warranty service upon registration, which is a nice touch.
