ASUS BR1100 for the kids

The ASUS BR1100 is an education-focused Windows 10 Pro convertible laptop with an 11.6-inch multi-touch display. Asus says it surpasses ‘military-grade’ MIL-STD-810H standards and can withstand drops of up to 1.2 metres, because children are terror incarnate, thanks to features such as an all-around rubber bumper and a spill-resistant keyboard (up to 330 cc). They even go so far as to make it harder for you to pry your keycaps out.

It’s designed for remote learning, with an AI-powered noise-cancelling tech that isolates background noise, while the world-facing camera just above the keyboard uses 3D noise-reduction (3DNR) technology to remove up to 94% of random noise on images. A fast-charging stylus (15-second charge gives you 45 minutes) that detects 4,096 levels of pressure is also useful for taking notes, while the battery is rated for up to hours’ use on a single charge.

As added protection for kids, the surfaces are treated with ASUS BacGuard to inhibit the growth of bacteria by over 99 per cent over 24 hours while the screen is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue-light emissions. The ASUS BR1100 Laptop (BR1100FKA-BP0469R) will retail from $699 at ASUS Exclusive Store and ASUS Online Store .
